Premise

I really had a tough time with coming up with an idea for this project. I don't know the limitations of the software mainly because I've never used it before and I'm a little worried that any large ideas would be hard to finish. So I've tried to keep it simple.

My idea is simply a cat trying to get at a bird through a window. He tries and tries while the bird unintentionally taunts him and eventually he jumps at the window and crashes into it, and passes out.

I'll probably rework the story more as I go.

  1. I think your premise will work fine. Simple is probably a good thing for this class. I had a hard time coming up with mine, too, since I have never used the software, either. Also, the simpler the idea you have, the easier it will be to get it not only finished on time, but finished well. I like what you have so far, and I am looking forward to seeing where you take it from here.

  2. I'm also a Flash newbie so I can't tell you for sure, but I think (like Sandy said) that your premise looks good so far. Simple ideas are great to start off with, and if you want you can always add more later. I even think you can keep the plot as is, and just make sure the visuals are tight and the animation is good. I think it'll be funny (and adorable) as it is.

  3. Hahahah that is really cute! It's simple but I think it will be entertaining. :) I can't wait to see what the characters look like! Because depending on what the characters look like, I think you can depict the cat as a little mischievous or just PURE EVIL! :D

  4. I am also new to flash and I think your idea is really cute! Only advice I would give is to really give the cat a strong personality so the animation can be simple but still strong. I think with just a really good character design it will be great!
