And Scene Four!

Scene Four. I ment to animate the bird in this scene but just didn't have time. It is ok though.

Scene Three

Scene Three Unedited. Meaning it has scene (Chronological) Five attached at the end.

Scene1

Scene One.

Finished Project!

Well here it is! Hope you enjoy! There is no music, but there are sound effects...

End of Digital Cel

Well, this quarter was rough. But it's almost over! I really liked learning flash. It was interesting doing 2D again after 2 years of not doing it at all. Although I probably sucked at it. Oh well. But I really learned a lot this quarter. And I had fun animating by hand again. I just wish I had more time to work on this film, but such is life!

Scene Two Finished!

Scene Two is done. Although I wasn't able to animate the bird very much. I spent a lot of time on animating the cat. But it still works.

Test Walk Seconded Scene

Beginning half of seconded scene. I wanted the animation to look kind of childish so I went with a very stiff walk. I think it works well with what I want.

On another note.....

Being sick SUCKS!

First Scene

First Scene Done! This scene uses puppets, which I find are kind of hard to use, but I think the bird works well with this kind of animation. I'm trying this with my cat character but so far it isn't the greatest. Unfortunately I got sick and so I don't really have time to animate using a different style if I want to finish anymore. Puppets are my weak point, can you tell? Anyways here is it.

Business Cards

These are also for my portfolio class. I really like how they turned out!

Resume

I figured that I'm putting so much time into my Portfolio class I might as well show it! So here it is! My resume/letter head, designed etc by me!

Puppets for Final Film

These are the puppets I'm using for my final... I still am learning how to use them properly in Flash so I guess we'll see how they do in the final.

Star Trek

It was AWESOME. I think it's now my new favorite movie. everyone should see it in theaters, it's just won't have the same impact on a t.v., unless, you know, your t.v. is gigantic, which then yah, save some monies and get it on Blu-ray! The space ship battles were well worth $10, such pretty, shiny lights making things blow up! I don't think it gets much better then that. The only thing negative I have to say about it was when Pike is talking to Kirk in the beginning the camera seems to have a seizure, but the person I went with didn't even notice till I said something so maybe it was just me. Other then that, awesome. So go see it!

Wow!

Wow, I've been really busy. I accidentally wrote over some of my flash files (twice no less! both my main and my backup) and lost some of the stuff I've done... but no worries! I can get caught back up pretty quickly. I'll be posting what I've done later this week, probably Friday. I've been crazy busy trying to get everything in on time. I did manage to sneak out and see Star Trek though. More about that later!

Work Work Work

As the title suggested I've just been work work working on all the stuff i have to do for class... a lot of it is in the process of getting done so I'll post it when it is. I'm almost done with the characters and back grounds so I'll start animating really soon on my digital cell stuff and hopefully I'll catch up to where I'm supposed to be this weekend. But it's looking really good. ^^

Random Stuff

This weekend was interesting... I finally got some sleep and was able to put a lot of work into animating for my 3D character animation class... I think it looks really good too. So when I get done I'll probably post it here. I also found a new TV show that looks interesting called Eden of the East, so far it's been a lot of fun to watch. It's got a lot of end of the world references in it but it's really the ending and opening are really just way too awesome. The ending especially. I'll post a link to both. And I'm waiting impatiently for Star Trek to come out (next week, Yay!) and getting as much homework as I can done.

The Openning!

The Ending!

Oh and yes you are seeing that correctly... it's all cut out paper animation! In the higher res videos you can actually see where they connected stuff together.

Walkcycle!

Kinda a little floaty... but I wanted to move on and not spend too much time on this. Maybe I'll come back and fix it, but I have other projects that need my attention at the moment. So here it is walk cycle puppet style!

Puppet No. Two!!!

Yep, got this one done as well, it is truly a miracle... especially since I still don't really know what I did that fixed it... oh well it works right?

Puppet No. One! Zomg!

So I finally was able to animate this image... lol It gave me lots of trouble, but I think I got the hang of it now... maybe. I guess we'll see on the next one...

Lip Sync!

My first ever lip sync in flash! I can't get the puppet animation to work but I got this too! lol.

Script

Kinda did this out of order. But here is the script for the flash animation.

StoryBoards!

Here are my story boards for my flash animation. They are read left to right... for some reason, not sure why I did that, probably from lack of sleep. Oh well. Enjoy. :}

Rotoscoping!

This was painful for me... It took so long on my already tight schedule... But I think it came out good for my first time ever doing this. So here's the first one, the one I started in class.

And here's the second one. Which was funner to do then the first. lol.

Character Designs

And now for my AWESOME character designs! First up, my kitty cat.

Then My Birdy.

And last but not least the two together to show the size ratio.

Bouncing Ballz

Wow the last two weeks have been really busy for me, really really busy, so it's taken me a bit to upload this, sorry it's late... Tutorial One. The Bouncing Ball.

And the second one.

Premise

I really had a tough time with coming up with an idea for this project. I don't know the limitations of the software mainly because I've never used it before and I'm a little worried that any large ideas would be hard to finish. So I've tried to keep it simple.

My idea is simply a cat trying to get at a bird through a window. He tries and tries while the bird unintentionally taunts him and eventually he jumps at the window and crashes into it, and passes out.

I'll probably rework the story more as I go.

Fun Fun Times

Ok, I'm going to put up some links to clips of animations I really enjoy, hopefully other people will become interested as well.

Gundam 00

This is one of my favorite animes. It has a engaging story line and has incredible animation. It is also one of the first animes to be animated in HD.

Seto no Hanayome

This is probably my favorite comedy of all time. It uses established anime stereotypes and manages to make fun of them and at the same time to make a serious anime that is funny and still tasteful.

Kung Fu Panda

What can I say about this? Awesome. Simply Awesome.

The Incredibles

I love this movie. The story is great and the characters are really believable.

Hello Peoples!

My name is Sarah Perez, and I love animation. Originally I am from Phoenix, AZ but currently I reside and go to school in Savannah, GA, with my fluffy cat named Squirrel. I am taking classes from the Savannah College of Art and Design and hope to graduate with a BFA in animation this summer. Eventually I want to be a director of feature films but that may change...

I love all different kinds of animation but my two favorite kinds are 3D animation and anime. Anime is what got me interested in animation and 3D is what helped me to decide that I wanted to be directing those films so I love them best. At the moment my favorite movie is either the Incredibes or KungFu Panda I really can't decide... the both have awesome stories and excellent animation. My favorite T.V. show is by far Gundam 00, who story and animation is simply incredible.

I also read a ton of comics and a lot of books, probably in the not healthy amount, but I really am interested in the stories and how they develop. My favorite genre is fantasy but I'll read just about everything. My favorite comics so far are Hero Bear and the Kid, Bleach and Skip Beat, while my favorite books are Sabriel and the Keys to the Kingdom series by Garth Nix.

I am a gamer, which is where I get the name Xylyndra, it has ended up being my handle that I use when ever I am online. It doesn't really stand for anything, but I really like it, and with my use of the voice chat program ventrilo have found that most people just shorten it down to Z, so I do actually answer to it. I have also found that it is a very unique name which is nice considering my name is Sarah, not that I don't like my name but there are a lot of Sarahs out there, so it helps having something different for certain occasions.
